Lanka may ban maids in Jordan - Daily Mirror - February 20, 2010

The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau has warned that it will be compelled to suspend sending maids to Jordan if recruitment agencies which hire these maids to the Middle Eastern country fail to deal with their problems.

According to the Bureau these agencies have been given a two week deadline to address the concerns of maids sent to Jordan including providing compensation for those facing abuse.  (JN)
